Peak Recruitment is partnering with Donovan Group to find a Structural Engineer for its Whangārei-based structural team.
Working alongside highly experienced structural engineers, you will:
- Complete structural analysis and calculations for steel buildings
- Develop and maintain structural models using SAP2000
- Prepare calculation packs for internal review and building consent
- Design and refine structural steel components and connections
- Work closely with detailers, architects, clients and other engineers
- Gain direct exposure to fabrication and buildability
- Contribute to design optimisation, automation and engineering improvements
- Take on increasing technical and project responsibility as your experience grows
About You
You will ideally have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- 1–5 years’ structural engineering experience
- Hands-on experience analysing or designing steel structures or steel buildings
- Experience using SAP2000, ETABS, Multiframe or similar structural analysis software
- Knowledge of relevant New Zealand structural and steel design standards
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a practical, collaborative approach
