We’re recruiting for an experienced Asset Integrity Inspector to join a highly regarded engineering consultancy working across industrial and infrastructure assets throughout New Zealand.
This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on practical inspection capability, asset condition assessment, coatings and materials evaluation, and trusted technical advice across live operational and brownfield sites.
This is not a “tick-the-box” inspection role - we’re looking for someone who can apply sound judgement, communicate risk clearly, and work closely with clients to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Conducting asset integrity and condition inspections
- Assessing coatings, corrosion and material deterioration
- Supporting remediation planning and failure investigations
- Preparing clear, defensible inspection reports
- Working directly with clients, contractors and operational teams
- Managing jobs end-to-end including HSE, quality and scheduling
- Regular Auckland travel with occasional national travel
- Proven hands-on inspection or asset integrity experience
- Strong knowledge of coatings systems and inspection practices will be highly regarded
- Background in industrial, infrastructure, utilities or heavy industry environments
- Trade or technical qualification supported by practical field experience
- Strong communication skills and professional judgement
