Thrive 2026

February 23, 2026

A big thank you to Engineering New Zealand Te Ao Rangahau for an engaging and thought-provoking #Thrive2026.

Highlights included Martin Simpson, GM of Fraser Engineering Group, sharing the inspiring journey of taking world-class, life-saving fire trucks from New Zealand to the global stage – ambitious, authentic, and delivered with great humour.

It was also a privilege to hear from Professor Jarrod Haar, who spoke on the grit, resilience, satisfaction and performance that can come with experience later in one’s career – reinforcing the value of employing and retaining baby boomers within our organisations.

Jenny Turner’s session on harnessing neurodiversity was another standout, encouraging reflection on the strengths that come from different ways of thinking and working.

The panel discussion on leading teams during and after a disaster was equally powerful – honest, practical, and inspiring.

A great event all round.
